ECHOES OF THE EARTH: Folk Songs Through Time

  • Room Art Space Etehaad Al Mohamin Cairo Governorate Egypt (map)

"In the sixth edition of his 'INVITE' series, Ali Omar El-Farouk presents someone unforeseen; a singer of unexpected grace, ready to weave a spell of excitement, solace, inspiration, and captivating wonder in the span of a single night. Her approach to folk music is a gentle hand guiding you back to a place of forgotten feeling--memory reclaimed in song. Join us in an unforgettable night. Be a witness to the echoes of the earth.

THE SURPRISE SINGER

The surprise singer of the evening has taught vocal music to over 600 students in the last seven years. Before this, she studied a wide range of music. She took formal training in vocal jazz for two years, opera for three, classical for five, and informally studied folk and pop music for her entire life. This night she looks forward to presenting a new side of herself, as she has never publicly performed folk music. This is a momentous occasion, not to be missed.
